EAC Conformity for Industrial Crystallizers
State crystallization process, cooling or heating and agitation. Review vessel pressure, deposits, cleaning access and protection against uncontrolled process conditions. This page concerns industrial production machinery. Household appliances, portable powered tools and technically different products need separate classification. Check additional electrical-safety, EMC, pressure, gas or explosion-protection regulations where the design and intended use bring them into scope.

Quick compliance overview
- Product category
- Chemical & Process Equipment
- HS / TN VED

- Assessment status
- Route follows pressure scope, category and assembly function
What is usually required for this product?
Prepare the machine layout, model and configuration matrix, safety justification with risk assessment, operating and maintenance documents, control and safety-function description, identification label and applicable test evidence. Identify the complete line boundary and any independently supplied modules. Provide chamber drawings, allowable pressure and temperature, volume or nominal diameter, working-medium group, strength evidence, materials and weld information where relevant. State crystallization process, cooling or heating and agitation. Review vessel pressure, deposits, cleaning access and protection against uncontrolled process conditions.
Which conformity route applies?
The assessment identifies the machine type and hazards first, then checks the relevant list position, safety evidence and conformity route. First identify whether the supplied item is a vessel, piping element, passive process unit or a complete driven assembly. Apply TR CU 032/2013 when its pressure, dimensions, working medium and exclusions place it within scope; the category and supply form determine declaration or certification. A driven chemical-process assembly may also fall within the declaration group of TR CU 010/2011. Atmospheric or vacuum-only service does not automatically establish TR CU 032/2013 applicability.
Applicable technical regulations
This page concerns industrial production machinery. Household appliances, portable powered tools and technically different products need separate classification. Check additional electrical-safety, EMC, pressure, gas or explosion-protection regulations where the design and intended use bring them into scope.
Verified conformity information
Decision No. 36 of 13 March 2026 mainly took effect on 1 September 2026; its replacement of Annex 3 takes effect on 1 April 2028. Use the presently applicable product list and check country-specific implementation and existing-document transition provisions for the project.
Cost and timeframe
Final cost and duration depend on the applicable regulation, conformity scheme, testing scope, technical documentation, sample requirements and project configuration.
- •Machine type and hazard profile
- •Number of models and configurations
- •Safety-function and testing scope
- •Quality of risk assessment and technical documentation
Documents usually requested
For an initial assessment, manufacturers should normally be ready to provide:
- Machine layout and principal drawings
- Safety/risk assessment
- Operating manual and maintenance instructions
- Drive, control and safety-system description
- Product datasheet and complete model list
- Manufacturer and production-site details
- Proposed HS / TN VED classification (8419)
EACSERT project support
More than a document-issuance service
We can manage the certification cycle from preparation for testing through final issuance, including development or adaptation of most of the technical documentation required for conformity assessment.

Large CO₂ production line certification project
A multi-stage industrial certification project lasting about two years and covering a large list of equipment within a CO₂ production line.
A large equipment scope required coordinated conformity assessment, technical documentation and work across multiple certification tasks rather than a single standard document.
Typical EAC conformity assessment process
The assessment identifies the machine type and hazards first, then checks the relevant list position, safety evidence and conformity route.

Frequently asked questions
Why does the exact machine function matter?
Similar HS headings can contain machinery with different legal routes; function and listed product description must match.
Is a risk assessment normally important?
Yes. For machinery it is a core document for identifying hazards and demonstrating how safety measures are implemented.
Which EAC regulation applies to Industrial Crystallizers?
First identify whether the supplied item is a vessel, piping element, passive process unit or a complete driven assembly. Apply TR CU 032/2013 when its pressure, dimensions, working medium and exclusions place it within scope; the category and supply form determine declaration or certification. A driven chemical-process assembly may also fall within the declaration group of TR CU 010/2011. Atmospheric or vacuum-only service does not automatically establish TR CU 032/2013 applicability.
Does the HS / TN VED code alone determine the route?
No. Customs classification is an important input, but the technical product description and the wording of the regulatory lists must be checked together.
