EAC / EAEU Market Access
EAC certification for export to the EAEU
EAEU Compliance for Oil Separators
Use the actual model specifications and supply scope. Classification inputs: chamber pressure and volume, medium group, phase separation or pigging and relief. The procedure depends on the product function, materials, operating parameters, destination and regulatory exclusions. Check the current list and transition rules before choosing a scheme.

Oil Separators: Technical scope and market access
Parameters needed for classification
chamber pressure and volume, medium group, phase separation or pigging and relief.
Applicable procedure
TR CU 032/2013 applies when the pressure equipment's medium, pressure, volume or diameter and exclusions bring it within scope. Equipment category and the actual supply determine declaration or certification; the rules distinguish categories 1–2 and 3–4 and include special provisions for site-completed assemblies. Assess every pressure chamber and independently supplied element; driven machinery, burners and explosive-atmosphere use can require separate regulatory checks.
Documents and supply scope
Prepare the model list, intended-use statement, technical specifications, materials or formulation, design documents, labels and instructions. Select test reports, safety justification or sanitary evidence for the actual product. Distinguish independently supplied components from the complete product and identify the destination country and supply arrangement.
Decision No. 36 of 13 March 2026 mainly took effect on 1 September 2026; the replacement of Annex 3 takes effect on 1 April 2028. Check the presently applicable list and destination-country transition provisions.
Check the regulatory scope, exclusions, product lists and commencement and transition provisions before selecting the conformity form and scheme. HS / TN VED is a classification aid; it does not by itself determine certification, declaration, state registration or a national procedure.

Cost and timeframe
Final cost and duration depend on the applicable regulation, conformity scheme, testing scope, technical documentation, sample requirements and project configuration.
- •Pressure-equipment category
- •Design pressure, volume or nominal diameter
- •Working medium and fluid group
- •Strength calculations, tests and technical dossier completeness
Documents usually requested
For an initial assessment, manufacturers should normally be ready to provide:
- General arrangement and pressure-boundary drawings
- Design pressure/temperature and medium data
- Strength calculations and material specifications
- Safety devices and test documentation
- Product datasheet and complete model list
- Manufacturer and production-site details
- Proposed HS / TN VED classification (8421)

Typical EAC conformity assessment process
The assessment first determines whether the product falls within pressure-equipment scope and which category applies; only then is the conformity procedure fixed.

Frequently asked questions
Which parameters decide the pressure-equipment category?
The decisive inputs include pressure, volume or nominal diameter, medium and fluid group, together with the regulation's scope rules.
Can the HS code determine the pressure category?
No. The code helps identify the product, but the legal category is parameter-based.

Does the HS / TN VED code alone determine the route?
No. Customs classification is an important input, but the technical product description and the wording of the regulatory lists must be checked together.
