EAC Declaration for Sunscreen Products
For Sunscreen Products, composition, intended use, target user, claims, physical form and special ingredients can be more decisive than the product name alone. We cross-check the product description with the applicable EAEU technical regulations and TN VED 3304 99, using the customs code as supporting evidence rather than as the only legal basis.

What is usually required for this product?
Formula/composition, specifications, safety data, microbiological or toxicological evidence, labeling and claims should be reviewed together. Ordinary adult cosmetics outside Annex 12 of TR CU 009/2011 follow an EAC Declaration of Conformity. Adult sunscreens outside Annex 12 follow declaration. Review permitted UV filters, nanomaterial status and evidence for SPF and UVA claims; children's or qualifying family sunscreens require state registration.
Which conformity route applies?
The review begins with composition and intended use, then checks special ingredients, claims, labeling and the conformity route. Ordinary adult cosmetics outside Annex 12 of TR CU 009/2011 follow an EAC Declaration of Conformity. Adult sunscreens outside Annex 12 follow declaration. Review permitted UV filters, nanomaterial status and evidence for SPF and UVA claims; children's or qualifying family sunscreens require state registration.
Applicable technical regulations
Annex 12 includes children's cosmetics, family cosmetics intended also for children under 14, nanomaterial products and specified special-purpose cosmetics. Medicinal products, raw ingredients and household chemicals need separate scope classification.
Verified conformity information

Frequently asked questions
Can two products with the same name follow different routes?
Yes. Composition, target user and special claims can change the regulatory treatment.
Why is the label reviewed early?
The label reveals intended use, claims, warnings and user group, all of which can affect classification.
Which EAC regulation applies to Sunscreen Products?
Ordinary adult cosmetics outside Annex 12 of TR CU 009/2011 follow an EAC Declaration of Conformity. Adult sunscreens outside Annex 12 follow declaration. Review permitted UV filters, nanomaterial status and evidence for SPF and UVA claims; children's or qualifying family sunscreens require state registration.
Does the HS / TN VED code alone determine the route?
No. Customs classification is an important input, but the technical product description and the wording of the regulatory lists must be checked together.
